Steinway Artist and author Robert Wyatt will bring his acclaimed recital/lecture series once again to the nation's capital with a performance at the Smithsonian Institution on Thursday, February 23, at 6:45 pm. The program, titled The Enigmatic Frank Sinatra, will feature live performance by the concert pianist, as well as intriguing biographical details, video clips, anecdotes, and insights into the life and music of Sinatra. The video above is an excerpt from an earlier program on this enchanting and multi-faceted singer and actor, presented by Wyatt at Highfield Hall in Falmouth, MA.
After the Smithsonian performance, Robert Wyatt will continue his busy touring schedule with appearances at 92YTribeca in New York, the Beveridge Webster concert series at Kendal in Hanover, NH, and Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA. Robert Wyatt's scholarship— notably, his book The George Gershwin Reader, published by Oxford University Press in 2004—has brought increasing demand for recital/lectures focusing on Gershwin, as well as other great composers and performers.
