Marketing Collaborator
Janet Murphy Robertson founded ArtistsAndMusicians.org to work collaboratively with creative people on a range of projects—from business planning, marketing, and PR to video and website creation and social media. Over the past twenty years, her clients have included writers, actors, musicians, orchestra conductors, visual artists, and architects. She is currently moving to this new web platform and will be updating it as time goes by with more stories of the people and organizations she serves.
Janet was previously a senior consultant with Coopers & Lybrand/ PricewaterhouseCoopers; Vice President, Information Systems for two multinational retail companies; and President of the consulting firm Ogden Associates. She is a graduate of Vassar College and did further studies in literature and philosophy at Drew University in Madison, NJ and Nanterre University/Paris.
Janet is based in Paris and has worked with clients in Europe, Asia, and the U.S.
Development Producer
Janet produces stage plays, concerts, and cultural events. She produced Dana McCoy's LILY THE TIGER in off-Broadway's 2023/2024 United Solo Festival, where the show won Best Song in 2023 and Best Musical in 2024, and at other venues in New York and Cape Cod, MA. The show features a “superhero for our times” —a prodigiously talented singer/songwriter who navigates with tuneful and inspiring grit through a flood of catastrophes..
Janet’s role is often as “development producer” as a project goes through successive presentations to gain audience feedback and testimonials and fine-tune the creative work..
Her production credits also include several highly successful runs of A Woman's Heart by Judith Partelow and the musical version by Judith Partelow and Dana McCoy; and Three Viewings by Jeffrey Hatcher, Sorry Wrong Number by Lucille Fletcher, The House of Atreus: From Tantalus through the Trial of Orestes by Elsa Bastone, Mick Ryan's Lament by Robert Emmet Dunlap and Kathi Taylor, and numerous other plays and concerts presented on Cape Cod and elsewhere.

Films that Matter
Janet Murphy Robertson is an award-winning filmmaker. Her documentary JOURNEYS IN THE LIGHT, subtitled "Democracy, Diversity, and Myth in the Wake of the Mayflower," premiered at the prestigious Chelsea Film Festival in 2023. The film was selected as one of seven "programmers' picks" out of 150 films in the Festival and was shown on CUNY TV—New York's largest public educational station—in 2024 and 2025.
Janet created the film in collaboration with Zion Union Heritage Museum in Hyannis, MA and its resident artists including Robin Joyce Miller, Pamela Chatterton-Purdy, Carl Lopes and many others as cited in the film’s credits. She had previously collaborated with Robin and TV producer Marilyn Rowland in FCTV’s multi-award-winning production of “Restoring My African Soul.”
In June 2026, JOURNEYS was named a Bronze Award winner in the 2026 Telly Awards. The 2026 Tellys recognize outstanding films, TV series, and other media first televised in 2024 or 2025.
Janet’s earlier films include ICONS OF THE CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT, based on the magnificent art and historical exhibition by Pamela Chatterton-Purdy and Rev. Dr. David A. Purdy. Several shorts and a feature film Janet created during COVID are currently in post-production.
Janet aims to do her part in revealing true stories within the great story of America, as well as the reality of climate change. She will be releasing a new film about planetary abuse and its sources in 2026 and is currently doing research for a collaborative film highlighting the impact of colonialism on people today.
